Carlee and Matthew’s elegant desert wedding was such a unique and special day. They chose to have an intimate ceremony with their 30 closest friends and family among the red rock monoliths and canyons of the Colorado National Monument. To say it was beautiful is a great understatement. The temperature was around 100 degrees in the Colorado desert the day of their wedding, but they handled it gracefully.
The reception, at Restoration Vineyards, one of Palisade, Colorado’s finest vineyards, was incredibly elegant and unique. They had a scrumptious 5 course sit down dinner under a light tent. After the sun went down it was like something out of a fairytale.
They got ready in a hotel downtown and than rode in a limo out to the monument. Even their getting ready portion was so sweet and special. From the sparkly gold jellies with her grandmother’s vintage pennies taped inside to her stunning gold engagement ring, the details were so beautiful and meaningful!

There are so many fun details in this red rock monument wedding. I’ve never seen a cake with a clear middle layer, that’s so creative! I love their curtain of string lights, too. Great work!
The whole thing is gorgeous but that light tent!! Need more of those – absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful photos – love it!
